About Arijit Singh
Arijit Singh was born on 25 April 1987 in Jiaganj, West Bengal. His father Kakkar Singh is a Lohri Sikh and his mother is a Bengali woman. Many relatives of him connected with music line. So from childhood, he loves music. He started music training at home when, he was very young. He learned basic Indian Classical Music from his maternal aunt, and learned to sing from his mother and maternal grandmother. He got knowledge of tabla from his maternal uncle. He completed his school in Raja Bijay Singh High School, Murshidabad and completed college from Sripat Singh College in Jiaganj.

Arijit Singh was cared about music, so his parents decided to train Arijit to professional music. When he was only three year old he started training under Hazari brother. In his musical life, he has three gurus (1) Rajendra Prasad Hazari (2) Dhirendra Prasad Hazari and (3) Birendra Prasad Hazari. He learned Indian Classical Music frin Rajendra Prasad Hazari, learned tabla from Dhirendra Prasad Hazari and learned Rabindra Sangeet (Rabindranath Tagore’s songs) and pop music from Birendra Prasad Hazari.
Arijit Singh was participating in singing reality show “Fame Gurukul” in 2005, by suggestion of his guru Rajendra Prasad Hazari. But in this reality show he ended up in sixth position. After he was particpate in “10 Ke 10 Le Gaye Dil” reality show and won the title of this compitition. After won this title he decided to move to Mumbai for freelance. He came to Mumbai and lived in rented room in Lokhandwala area. He was build his own recording studie and became a music producer and started composing music and singing for advertisement, news channels and radio station.
He started working in bollywood industry in 2010. First of all he worked in 3 movies namely Golmaal 3, Crook and Action Replyy. In 2011, he was sing “Phir Mohabbat” in Murder 2 movie. He was famous when he sung “Kyoki…. Tum hi Song” in Aashiqui movie. After that he sing many songs in many movies.
In personal life he got married two times. First time he married with Koyal Sing, his co-contestants from a reality show. But after sometime they got divorced. The he married with his childhood friend Koel Roy in 2014. That marriage was also second marriage for Koel Roy and she has daugher form her first marriage. They both are blessed with two sons.
