Kiara was born on 31 July 1992 to Jagdeep Advani (a Sindhu Hindu Businessman) and Genevieve Jaffery’s home in Mumbai, Maharashtra. Her maternal grandfather, Hameed Jaffrey was the Punjabi Muslim from Lucknow and brother of actor Saeed Jaffrey. Kiara has one brother Mishaal Advani. She completed her school from Cathedral and John Connon School, Mumbai. She got 92 % in class 12th, after that she went to Jai Hind College Mumbai to Complete Graduate in Mass Communication course. From childhood, she wanted to be an actress since she was only 2 year old.
Before come to bollywood she changed her name Kaira from her real name Alia. Salman Khan suggested to change her name from Alia to Kiara, because at the same time Alia Bhatt was alread upcoming actress in the bollywood. She said that the name ‘Kiara’ was inspired from Priyanka Chopra’s character of Kiara in the fim ‘ Anjaana Anjaani’.
Before entering the bollywood industry. Kiara took acting training from Anupam Kher’s and Roshan Taneja’s acting institute. Finally she debuted wiht Kabir Sadanand’s comedy-drama ‘Fugly’ in the year 2014. Movie got mixed reviews and Kiara got positive reviews for her performance from the critics.
Her second movie was ‘M.S. Dhoni: The Untold Story’. In this movie she played a role of Sakshi Rawat, with co-starring Sushant Singh Rajput (Late). Movie got highly success in box office and earned 2.16 billion worldwide. She got popularity from this movie. She also worked in telugu movies name ‘Bharat Ane Nenu’ and ‘Vinaya Vidheya Rama’.
