Madhuri Dixit was born on 15 May 1967 into one middle class marathi brahmin family in Mumbai, Maharashtra. Her father name was Shankar Dixit (Late) and her mother name is Snehlata Dixit. Madhuri has one elder brother and two elder sister. Her brother name is Ajit Dixit and her sister’s name are Rupa Dixit and Bharti Dixit. From childhood she had interest in Dance so she got train for eight year in kathak Dance form and becoming a professional kathak Dancer. When ever she was only seven or eight year old, she performed at Guru Purnima Festival. At that time one journalist was there and write article on her and she appeared first time in news paper. Form that time dance become the part of her life. She also received a scholarship as a kathak Dancer when ever she was only nine year old.
Madhuri complete her school study in Divine Child High School in Andheri, Mumbai. In school time she also participate in dram and dance competition. After that she completed her college in Sathaye College in Vile Parle, Mumbai. She started college for getting degree of micro biology but she decided to discontinued the course and focused on full time is film career.
Filmy Career Or Madhuri
The starting of film career was very hard for Madhuri. She made her
bollywood debut in the year 1984 in the movie ‘Abodh’ with Rajshri Production House. The film was failed commercially in box office. But her performance earned positive review from the people. After she worked in second movie in the year 1985, movie name was ‘Awara Bap’. the film was also floped in box office. Then she worked in seven movie namely Swati (1986), Manav Hatya (1986), Hifazat (1987), Uttar Dakshin (1987), Mohre (1987), Khatron Ke Khiladi (1988) and Dayavan (1988). All film was floped at box office.
Finally in the year 1988 Madhri famoused when she played a role of Mohini in Tezaab movie with co-satrring Anil Kapoor and directed by N.Chandra. In this movie she played a role of impoverished and miserable woman, who is forced for dance and earn money for her father. In this movie she danced on song ‘Ek… Do… Teen’ and song became very famous. From that song Madhuri was become in limelite.
Next year in 1989 Madhuri gave two hits movie namely Tridev and Ram Lakhan. Both movie was the biggest blockbuster of the year. In 1990, She gave Romantic comedy movie with Aamir Khan namely Dil, movie was directed by Indra Kumar and also became superhit movie. Madhuri earned first FilmFare award for this movie. After that her journey was going and going and in 1994 she worked in biggest bolckbuster bollywood movie ‘Hum Aap Ke Hai Koun…’ with Salman Khan. Movie earned approximately 1.35 billion worldwide. Movie was directed by Sooraj Barjatya.
In the year 2002, Madhuri gave one more blockbuster movie ‘Devdas’ with Shahrukh Khan and Aishwarya Rai. Movie grossed 1.02 billion in box office. The song “Dola… re…” became very famous at that time. The film was directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali and produced by Bharat Shah. Madhuri worked approximately 70 to 80 movie in her career. Madhuri also worked as host in show ‘Kahina Kahi Koi Hai’ and also judged ‘Jhalak Dikhla Ja’ dancing show with Karan Johar and Remo D’souza.
In her personal life, she has three affairs with Anil Kapoor, Sanjay Dutt and Ajay Jadeja (Former Cricket) but finally she married with Shriram Madhav Nene (Doctor) on 17 october 1999 and couple blessed with two son.
